Where do you recommend for dinner?? Possibly the question we are asked most often once guests have booked their accommodation with us.
The following is a list of local pubs and resturants - some closer than others, with a range of styles and prices. This list is by no means exhaustive, but these are all restuarants or pubs where we eat out ourselves. Of course, where we eat out depends very much on the occasion - a special birthday would have a different choice from a quick evening escape!!
Although as a family we really do eat everywhere listed below, some of the recommendations are exceptional - The Saracens Head is brilliant - although by no means the closest, Darleys is unbeatable for a special lunch and we have had some very positive comments recently from our guests about The Black Swan - happily very close by. If you like Indian food, the restaurants below are superb! Once you have chosen it is advisable to make a booking as soon as possible, as these pubs and restaurants are usually very busy.
As Dannah is in a rural location, none of the places to eat are within comfortable walking dustance, when dining out in the evening, although some can be incorporated into our circular walks (from Dannah), and may be perfect for lunch. If in the evening you would prefer not to drive (like a glass of wine - or two!! with your meal), transportation can be provided / booked by Dannah. If you believe you may require transportation during your stay, even if you have not yet decided where or when to eat, please mention (if possible) when booking your accommodation. Please give as much notice as possible and do make sure to arrange your return journey at the same time!
