We offer dinner to resident guests most evenings, except for Fridays and Sundays, by prior arrangement only. Although we normally
ask for 24 hours notice if guests require dinner, occasionally it may not be possible to eat in, and if dinner is a definate requirement, it should be mentioned on booking.
If our guests prefer to explore the area and eat out, we are very lucky to have a wonderful selection of superb pubs and restaurants fairly close by. Click on the "eating out" link on the left hand menu and you will find a selection of our personal recommendations, along with driving times from Dannah.
For those guests having dinner here at Dannah, it is a set meal of the day, served at 7.15pm, and normally needs to be ordered at least 24 hours in advance.
A typical set meal might be:
Carrot, Orange and Coriander Soup
Served with fresh, warm homemade bread
Pan Fried Derbyshire Chicken with an Asparagus sauce
Accompanied by fresh seasonal vegetables
Dark Chocolate and Rum Mousse
Coffee or Tea with Mints.

As dinner is a set meal, without choice, it is essential that guests inform us of any food requirements when booking. Vegetarians and those on special diets are happily catered for with advance notice. We are licensed, and offer an interesting range of carefully selected wines as well as a wide choice of spirits and liqueurs.
Please note: From the 1st July 2007 we have to become "smoke free" by law. Guests will still be able to smoke in the gardens, but will be unable to smoke inside.
