Guest Book

We have been offering accommodation to guests since 1986 – a lifetime – and the hardest lesson we have had to learn is that it is simply not possible to please everyone all the time, or indeed have a fully functioning Dannah Farm perfect at all times on every occasion. Most of our wonderful guests know this and generously forgive our lapses! We really, genuinely, do try our very best to please and hopefully are able to give our guests a wonderful stay with memories to cherish.
Reviews are both terrific and terrifying at the same time! It’s a heart stopping moment when we see a new review has been published – did they like us – were we helpful/friendly/in the middle of a domestic???? Then - having made the decision to put reviews on our own website – should we just put on the good ones – include the not so good – banish the awful?? The decision is taken – we will go for “the good, the bad and the ugly” and let our guests – past, present and future decide for themselves!!!!
We have decided not to reply to individual reviews, believing it could be perceived as confrontational, of course we read them all, and really do welcome your thoughts, taking  notice of all the points you raise – good and bad! (For some of the issues which raise their head from time to time, e.g., charges for corkage an explanation can be found on our FAQ's page).
And finally, a heartfelt thank you to those who take the time and trouble to tell us what a lovely time they had, along with a genuine apology to those for whom the experience was not all they would have hoped for.

What our guests have to say >>

We have just got back from our second stay at Dannah Farm. Last time we stayed in the Granary Suite (with it's own hot tub) this time it was the Wilderbrook room a real delight.

The bathroom in the Wilderbrook came complete with a huge jaccuzzi bath, a cute hideaway shower and even had the decadence of a tv!!
The bedroom was wonderfully cosy and the bed very comfortable and the separate lounge had two huge sofas, gorgeous table and fireplace and a feeling of complete luxury.

We ordered a platter each of the evenings we were there and as before found the food plentiful and delicious with lots of lovely little side dishes to add to the cheeses, cold meats and lovely warm bread.

We loved the attitude of the staff and owners who were friendly without being intrusive. On arrival we noticed there was a couple of litters of kittens just outside the kitchen area. We were encouraged to play with the kittens as much as we wanted and there was lots of friendly banter about whether we would take one home or not (sadly we were sensible and decided to decline the offer...hoping the last little black kitten would find a home soon!!)

So many other lovely aspects, far too many to mention, but these include huge and tasty breakfasts, beautiful scenery, plenty of DVDs, books and a fab selection of local information are a few of the things we loved.

Please ignore the negative comments on here this a truly wonderful place and you will not regret booking a visit here. We will be back as soon as we possibly can. It's a real gem.

Room Tip: Both rooms we stayed in were excellent. The Granary Suite has a fabulous hot tub that is not overlooked at all and the Wilderbrook has a separate lounge area where you can really relax and chill out
