Guest Book

We have been offering accommodation to guests since 1986 – a lifetime – and the hardest lesson we have had to learn is that it is simply not possible to please everyone all the time, or indeed have a fully functioning Dannah Farm perfect at all times on every occasion. Most of our wonderful guests know this and generously forgive our lapses! We really, genuinely, do try our very best to please and hopefully are able to give our guests a wonderful stay with memories to cherish.
Reviews are both terrific and terrifying at the same time! It’s a heart stopping moment when we see a new review has been published – did they like us – were we helpful/friendly/in the middle of a domestic???? Then - having made the decision to put reviews on our own website – should we just put on the good ones – include the not so good – banish the awful?? The decision is taken – we will go for “the good, the bad and the ugly” and let our guests – past, present and future decide for themselves!!!!
We have decided not to reply to individual reviews, believing it could be perceived as confrontational, of course we read them all, and really do welcome your thoughts, taking  notice of all the points you raise – good and bad! (For some of the issues which raise their head from time to time, e.g., charges for corkage an explanation can be found on our FAQ's page).
And finally, a heartfelt thank you to those who take the time and trouble to tell us what a lovely time they had, along with a genuine apology to those for whom the experience was not all they would have hoped for.

“An indulgent few days in the country”

What our guests have to say >>

My wife and I found Dannah Farm when doing an internet search for a country hotel with private hot tub - an indulgence we have come to love in recent times!

We booked a midweek break in the (admittedly quite expensive) Granary Suite - but what a wonderful few days we had! Not so much a top quality room, the Granary Suite is spread over two floors, with comfortable lounge areas and a bathroom on the ground floor and a fantastic bedroom and luxury en-suite bathroom on the first floor.

The upstairs bathroom includes a large double-ended spa bath, a huge walk-in shower complete with body jets and - for the brave - an overhead cold-water douche arrangement that really blows away any cobwebs!!

A six foot wide bed with one of the most comfortable mattresses we've ever experienced it was indulgence personified.

And the piece de resistance? The outdoor hot tub of course! Totally secluded in a private decked area complete with roof to keep out any rain it was a complete delight.

The staff at Dannah Farm deserve a special mention: helpful, keen to make sure everything was 'just right' they were great.

And last of all, I must mention the breakfasts: I like my 'full English' to get the day off to a good start and the Dannah 'full English' is a sight to behold, complete with the best black pudding I've come across in many years. Let's just say I have a big appetite - and finishing the breakfasts here presented even me with a real challenge!

This is not a place for a 'cheap break' - but for what it cost us to spend a few days in the Granary Suite it was worth every penny: total relaxation and complete indulgence all wrapped up with a great countryside location.
