We have been offering accommodation to guests since 1986 – a lifetime – and the hardest lesson we have had to learn is that it is simply not possible to please everyone all the time, or indeed have a fully functioning Dannah Farm perfect at all times on every occasion. Most of our wonderful guests know this and generously forgive our lapses! We really, genuinely, do try our very best to please and hopefully are able to give our guests a wonderful stay with memories to cherish.

Reviews are both terrific and terrifying at the same time! It’s a heart stopping moment when we see a new review has been published – did they like us – were we helpful/friendly/in the middle of a domestic???? Then - having made the decision to put reviews on our own website – should we just put on the good ones – include the not so good – banish the awful?? The decision is taken – we will go for “the good, the bad and the ugly” and let our guests – past, present and future decide for themselves!!!!

We have decided not to reply to individual reviews, believing it could be perceived as confrontational, of course we read them all, and really do welcome your thoughts, taking notice of all the points you raise – good and bad! (For some of the issues which raise their head from time to time, e.g., charges for corkage an explanation can be found on our FAQ's page).

And finally, a heartfelt thank you to those who take the time and trouble to tell us what a lovely time they had, along with a genuine apology to those for whom the experience was not all they would have hoped for.

To all the Team at Dannah Farm!!

We stayed in the most beautiful, clean and relaxing room. The living room complete with writing desk, the perfect couch for snuggling, DVD player and an unbeatable selection of literature. The bathroom filled with soaps, gels, cosy bathrobes and a fabulous shower! Moving upstairs to the bedroom where our rooms real X-Factor blew myself and my partner Tom away, a gorgeous four poster bed, and I’d strongly suggest if you’re visiting waking up a little earlier get the curtains open and check out the glorious sunrise over the stunning English country side, what a way to start the day!!!!

On the day of our arrival we also had use of the exclusive Spa Leisure Cabin and what a treat it was! Boasting perfectly suited décor, spa hot tub - that was hot and ready for us on arrival, a Finnish Sauna, steam shower, flat screen TV and the best couch for kicking back and relaxing on! The view from the outdoor hot tub goes for miles, and the sense of privacy you get really made our stay extra special, we felt like we were on our own luxury island in the middle of nowhere!! Such a romantic setting and perfect for simply enjoying each others company and reconnecting!!

The only regret we did have was not ordering the Platter, we were reminded of this once again at breakfast time, we entered the restaurant and were greeted by a kind smile and a gentle voice, shown to a table and our order was taken. Brought to us was the most fresh tasting toast, scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, tomato’s, mushrooms and a nice treat of black pudding!! Lesson learnt and on our return we’ll build up more of an appetite during the day so we can enjoy one of those delightful looking platters!!

If you’re going through the reviews right now, wondering whether to book up or not, don’t waste another moment just book it right now!! There is clearly a lot of love from the family and friends who run Dannah farm as this is reflected through the quality of service, cleanliness of every area on the farm, the food and the feeling of escapism from the moment you drive in through the Farm entrance!!
