The Dannah Farm Diary.
Top Food Hygiene Rating for Dannah. |
| Diary Entry Written by Joan: Oct 09 2010 |
The food hygiene rating assesses how well businesses are complying with food hygiene legislation. The scores of all places serving food, from the local takeaway, through pubs, shops, works canteens and supermarket cafes to fine dining restaurants and hotels, can be found on the Food Standard Agency website.
Part of the assesment looks at three specific compliance areas: Food Hygiene and Safety, Structure and Cleaning and Confidence in Management and Control Systems. At Dannah we were very happy to have scored five over all aspects. This translates to:
Food Hygiene and Safety: "Standards of food hygiene are excellent. You demonstrated full compliance with food hygiene legislation and codes of recommended practice."
Structure and Cleaning: "The structure, facilities and standard of cleaning are all excellent. You demonstrated full compliance with the law and recommended codes of practice."
Confidence in Management and Control Systems: "There is a HACCP-based food safety management system that works well and you have an excellent track record."
