Guest Book

We have been offering accommodation to guests since 1986 – a lifetime – and the hardest lesson we have had to learn is that it is simply not possible to please everyone all the time, or indeed have a fully functioning Dannah Farm perfect at all times on every occasion. Most of our wonderful guests know this and generously forgive our lapses! We really, genuinely, do try our very best to please and hopefully are able to give our guests a wonderful stay with memories to cherish.
Reviews are both terrific and terrifying at the same time! It’s a heart stopping moment when we see a new review has been published – did they like us – were we helpful/friendly/in the middle of a domestic???? Then - having made the decision to put reviews on our own website – should we just put on the good ones – include the not so good – banish the awful?? The decision is taken – we will go for “the good, the bad and the ugly” and let our guests – past, present and future decide for themselves!!!!
We have decided not to reply to individual reviews, believing it could be perceived as confrontational, of course we read them all, and really do welcome your thoughts, taking  notice of all the points you raise – good and bad! (For some of the issues which raise their head from time to time, e.g., charges for corkage an explanation can be found on our FAQ's page).
And finally, a heartfelt thank you to those who take the time and trouble to tell us what a lovely time they had, along with a genuine apology to those for whom the experience was not all they would have hoped for.

“wonderful hideaway”

Fantastic place just to get away from it all, we spent just one night at Dannah Farm all I can say its lovely, and I could not fault the breakfast. Its location is off the beaten track so a car is essential, but it is so peaceful. ,and ideal for visiting Derbyshire.

“Heather cottage = Amazing!”

Myself and my wife stayed at dannah's new heather cottage in sleepy kirk ireton this September for our 'minimoon'. Away from the main farm, the cottage is brand new with its own private hot tub, snug rooms and amazingly large, handcrafted 4-poster style bed.

“Bit of tranquil amidst the madness”

I stayed at Dannah for an impromptu romantic evening away with the fiance. From the outside it's nothing to write home about, the interior was clean and comfortable and homely. We stayed in the studio hideaway with the hot tub, it's very small with not much room to move around in, but ever so cosy.

“Cosy and lovely.”

Dannah farm is a real gem.

Although, it was a little tricky to find- Dannah Farm was a brilliant hotel.

We stayed in "the Gorses" - which had a georgeous four poster bed, a sofa, two televisions, a coffee machine and a bunch of other cute things that made it cosy, homely as well as unique.

“Gorgeous B&B, definitely recommend”

I booked the Red Room at Dannah farm for a last minute overnight stay on the 11th July. The girl I spoke to whilst making the booking (Laura, I believe) was very helpful and friendly.

Dannah Farm is in a great location; we went to Dovedale the next day whiich was not far so it is great to use as a base. We found Dannah Farm easy to find and received a very warm welcome. I had arranged for a bottle of bubbly to be placed in the room and it was with plenty of ice and two glasses which was a great treat.

“A Real Gem”

We have just got back from our second stay at Dannah Farm. Last time we stayed in the Granary Suite (with it's own hot tub) this time it was the Wilderbrook room a real delight.

The bathroom in the Wilderbrook came complete with a huge jaccuzzi bath, a cute hideaway shower and even had the decadence of a tv!!
The bedroom was wonderfully cosy and the bed very comfortable and the separate lounge had two huge sofas, gorgeous table and fireplace and a feeling of complete luxury.
