(We = Dannah Farm Country House Ltd.)
Accommodation rates. Prices quoted are per room per night and include a full English farmhouse breakfast and VAT at the current rate. We reserve the right to review and alter prices at any time.
Weekends. We offer a minimum two-night stay over weekends and are not able to offer single night stays on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday evenings unless certain circumstances allow for this. Where a single night is available at a weekend it will be made available on-line, or over the telephone at the management’s discretion.
Check-in is from 4.00pm on the day of arrival. Due to the dreaded Covid19 and the rigorous cleaning protocols we need to follow in order to keep us all safe we regret that rooms cannot be made available before this time.
Check-out is by 11.00am on the day of departure. This is to ensure that all is in order for our next guests. Unfortunately we are unable to offer early check ins or late check outs.
Health & safety. Guests are reminded that we are situated on a working farm and safety is paramount. Care should be taken to supervise all children whilst out and about in the grounds, on the farm and in the surrounding countryside. Please follow the Countryside Code, keep to the footpaths and please close any gates you go through.
Accessibility. We are committed to doing all we can to make our accommodation accessible to all, although the buildings are centuries old and can be impossible to adapt safely. If you have additional needs or special requirements, we will be very happy to discuss these with you.
Parking. We have ample, safe on-site parking, but this is at owners’ risk, (car and contents).
Damages. We reserve the right to charge for breakages and/or damages to Dannah Farm Country House, against the card held for payment. Persons making the booking will be held responsible for any damages.
Smoking. Guests are not allowed to smoke anywhere indoors, including the guest bedrooms and suites. As accommodation providers we could be fined up to £2500 if we fail to enforce the smoke-free laws, therefore, regrettably, anyone found to be smoking indoors will be liable to a cleaning charge of up to £250, payable against the credit card held to cover the booking. Smoking is allowed outside in the gardens and grounds.
Cancellations must be immediately notified to us and confirmed in writing. The treatment of a cancellation will depend on a) the date the booking was made, and b) when the cancellation was made.
Bookings placed after 17/09/2020 have Cancellation Protection under our Master Cancel Policy if you cancel between 60 days and 2 days prior to arrival.
If you cancel from 60 days up to and including 2 days before check-in-date, you will receive a full refund of the lodging costs you have paid. Only lodging costs are refunded. Additional extras, including but not limited to cleaning fees, tax and other ancillary charges are not refunded. Refund payment for cancelled bookings will be released back to the cancelling guest within 2 weeks of cancellation. Cancellations made 1 day prior to, or on the day of check in will not be eligible for a refund. For example: for a check-in on Saturday you could cancel the prior Thursday (in writing) before 16.00 and be reimbursed in full, but not on Friday (one day prior) or Saturday (day of check in). For this reason, we strongly recommend you take out your own travel insurance for UK holidays which covers booking cancellations. This is available at very affordable rates and gives you the peace of mind that you will get your money back if you need to cancel your holiday. If you choose not to then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation.
If you cancel 61 days or more before check-in-date – In addition, Dannah Farm Country House Ltd will provide fully flexible cancellation from the date of booking to the commencement of the period covered by our Master Cancel policy on receiving written confirmation of cancellation. Refund payments for a cancelled booking will be released back to the cancelling guest within 2 weeks of cancellation.
Bookings paced under the lock down period (5/11/2020 – 2/12/2020) for stays immediately following the lockdown period – Bookings made during lockdown for stays which may be impacted by an extension to the lockdown period will not be covered by the Master Cancel Policy. For example if a booking is taken for – say – the 10th December and the lockdown is extended, that booking would not be covered. If this were the case then we would, of course hold over any monies paid towards a future booking with us.
Bookings paced before 18/09/2020 are not cancellation protected.
A non-refundable deposit is required before bookings are confirmed. The balancing payment is due two weeks prior to arrival. This will be automatically taken from the card details provided on booking unless we are contacted prior to this date and an alternative means of payment is provided. Bookings may be cancelled up to two weeks prior to arrival, but the deposit will be forfeit. Where a booking is cancelled within two weeks of the due date for arrival the full amount will be forfeit. Cancellations must be confirmed in writing.
We would strongly advise that guests take out a travel insurance policy which covers booking cancellations. This is available at very affordable rates and gives you the peace of mind that you will get your money back if you need to cancel your holiday. If you choose not to then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation.
Circumstances on site beyond the control of the owner. If for any reason we have to cancel your booking in advance due to circumstances beyond our control at our site – for example, fire, flood, or destruction/damage to the property – then we will at our sole discretion offer you alternative dates or a full value voucher. If we have to terminate your holiday early for the above reasons you will be credited part of the booking fee value based on the time remaining of the booking. This will be the full extent of the liability of the owners. No additional compensation, expenses or costs will be payable.
Force Majeure. Other than holidays covered by the Cancellation Protection conditions above (for bookings made after 17/09/19), we DO NOT cover you for your holiday being unavailable due to natural disasters, terror attacks, acts of war, hijacking, riots, incidents of civil unrest, pandemics, epidemics, or general restrictions on movement imposed by local or national Government, which may prevent you from taking your holiday. We would strongly advise that guests take out a travel insurance policy which covers booking cancellations. This is available at very affordable rates, and gives you the peace of mind that you will get your money back if you need to cancel your holiday. If you choose not to then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation.
