Dannah Farm is one of the finest Derbyshire B&B‘s. Joan, Martin and family moved into Dannah Farm in the winter of 1985. We took our first paying guests the following spring. Part of The Chatsworth Estates at Shottle, Dannah is still a traditional working farm.

From its conception in 1986, Dannah has gone from strength to strength winning many awards along the way. It is now recognised as one of the most outstanding places to stay in the county. For the ultimate in a Self Catering Holiday, we have our sister properties at Dannah Cottages. Heather Cottage and Honeysuckle Cottage are two lovely cottages with their own private hot tubs. These Idyllic romantic cottages are located in a pretty conservation village close to the beautiful market town of Ashbourne. Each one is perfectly appointed for two guests.

Dannah Cottages are two stunning 5 star self catering cottages – Heather Cottage and Honeysuckle Cottage – in the pretty conservation village of Kirk Ireton.

Heather and Honeysuckle cottages are luxurious, romantic and intimate retreats – each one just for two adults. The cottages are situated next to one another but are completely separate and utterly unique! Relax under the stars in the bubbling hot tub (each cottage has its own private hot tub – absolutely no sharing here!!) Watch the world go by from the window of the beautiful master bedrooms, stretch out on the soft leather sofas in the cosy and intimate sitting rooms or stroll around the lovely country lanes.

If self catering sounds a little too much effort… All guests staying at Dannah Cottages are welcome to come to Dannah Farm (approximately 6 miles / 15 minute drive), for a full farmhouse breakfast at no extra cost.

Our renowned English Farmhouse Breakfasts are, of course, included in your room rate. Eating out locally is a real treat and a wonderful way of exploring the area and we are lucky to have a wide variety of local restaurants we can highly recommend.

Unfortunately we are unable to offer evening meals, however guests can enjoy takeaways in their rooms. We do hold a drinks licence so can provide alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks to accompany your meal.

We are lucky to have many attractions and activities close by. From the sumptuous Chatsworth House to the magnificent Kedleston Hall. From Crich Tramway Museum and the famous caves at Castleton to the cable cars at Matlock Bath. For the more energetic, Carsington Water with its many water sports is close by. The thrills and spills of Alton Towers are within easy reach too. Take in a play at the fantastic Buxton Opera House, or discover endless pretty villages. Bakewell, Ashbourne, Tissington and Eyam are all close by.
