Here at Dannah Farm we aim to serve the very best in farmhouse cooking, using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible, and our own homemade bread.

Our renowned English Farmhouse Breakfasts are, of course, included in your room rate and are served in elegant and relaxed surroundings, each one freshly cooked to order – no tired breakfast buffet on offer at Dannah! As much as possible of the produce we use is locally sourced, or made here on the  farm, and as a member of Peak Cuisine, we are proud to promote and use local  produce.

Breakfast begins with a variety of fruit juices, cereals, yoghurt and fresh fruits. While you indulge in this, your farmhouse breakfast will be freshly cooked. Our full Derbyshire feast consists of free range eggs, (scrambled, poached or fried), grilled short back bacon and locally made sausages, grilled fresh tomatoes, mushrooms and for the traditionalists, “Jerry  Howarths” award winning black pudding. Of course, you can choose any combination you like, you may even prefer a full vegetarian breakfast! This is completed with a selection of our homemade bread, toasted and served with a variety of jams, marmalades and local honey, fresh filter coffee and a selection of teas.

Local Restaurants

Eating out locally is a real treat and a wonderful way of exploring the area. We are very lucky to have a wide variety of local restaurants we can highly recommend to our guests. Our recommendations are all places we use ourselves, some suited to a special occasion, others where we might go just for a little R&R.

For those guests who prefer not to drive themselves, a taxi from a local firm can be easily booked.

Supper Platter

If you are arriving late, having a “working stay”, or just want to chill out in your room, a supper platter can be arranged. This is truly a feast for the eyes, as well as the taste-buds, and will contain a tempting selection of meats, cheeses, fish and salads, as well as our delicious homemade bread and a home-made pudding.


The platters are made to order and we  do require them to be booked in advance (24 hours if possible) – £18.95 per person. If you are ordering a platter and have any food allergies or strong dislikes, please make sure that you let us know.

We hold appropriate drinks licences and have a carefully selected range of wonderful wines and Champagnes for you to choose from, as well as beers, spirits and soft drinks. For a truly special and intimate occasion, a supper platter, served in the comfort of your room with a bottle of Veuve Cliquot to accompany it is hard to beat!!

Peak District Cuisine guarantees a true taste of the peak by ensuring that the main ingredients of food served at Dannah are grown or produced in the Peak District.
