We aim to serve the very best farmhouse breakfast, using locally sourced ingredients, and our own homemade bread.

English Farmhouse Breakfasts

Our renowned English Farmhouse Breakfasts are, of course, included in your room rate.

If you are staying at Dannah while visiting family or friends and would like to invite them to join you for breakfast this is available by prior arrangement and charged at £17.50 per non-resident.

Breakfast begins with fruit juices, cereals, yoghurt, and fresh fruits. While you indulge in this, your farmhouse breakfast will be freshly cooked, just as you like it.

Our full Derbyshire feast consists of free-range eggs, (scrambled, poached or fried), grilled short back bacon, locally made sausages, grilled fresh tomatoes, mushrooms, and for the traditionalists, “Jerry Howarths” award-winning black pudding. Hash browns, fried bread, and baked beans are all (free) optional extras.

Guests may choose any combination of the above, or opt for a full vegetarian breakfast.

Breakfast is completed with a selection of our homemade bread, toasted and served with a selection of jams, marmalades, honey, fresh filter coffee, and teas.

Eating out is a real treat and a wonderful way of exploring the local area, there are some truly wonderful places to eat out whilst you are staying with us – some of our favorites are listed below.

For those wanting to enjoy a takeaway, all our rooms and suites have a selection of crockery so you can enjoy your takeaway in the comfort of your room.

We hold an appropriate drinks license and have a carefully selected range of wines and Champagnes for you to choose from, as well as beers, spirits and soft drinks.

For those wanting a small snack without the fuss we can also provide ‘Fizz and nibbles’ for £24.95. This consists of two 200ml bottles of Bottega Rose Gold with a selection of crisps and nuts. Perfect for a pre-dinner indulgence.

Many of our recommended eateries have dog friendly areas in which you can enjoy your meal.  These are highlighted on the above list but please do double check when making your reservation.

As Dannah is in a rural location, none of the places to eat are within comfortable walking distance, if you would prefer not to drive (like a glass of wine – or two!! with your meal), please refer to the taxi companies listed below.
